Swimming – it’s really important!

Good to see a solid turn out in the pool this morning.  The sun is well and truly up by 6:00am, weather is mild and the pool temp is perfect so no excuses.

A fit swimmer = a good triathlete for a number of reasons. 1. You have to swim in the race (obvious I know but plenty of people are in denial about this) 2. You are fresher for the ride and run legs and 3. The earlier you get out of the water the better placed you are to get dragged along by faster riders in the ride leg.

Sydney Running Festival

Well done to the STG crew members who competed in the various races at the Sydney Running Festival yesterday.  Dave Adler finished his first Marathon in under 4 hours and Ciara L set a PB over the half marathon distance and is now itching to go under 1:40.  PBs also to Andy E, Bruce S and Marcello – well done lads.

In the Bridge run Bruce F came 3rd in his age group out of 144 competitors which was a brilliant effort.
