Sunshine Coast 70.3

There were some outstanding STG results from the Sunshine Coast 70.3 over the weekend.  Alex Rudge had a huge day out.  She cracked the 5 hour mark in only her second effort at the distance, finished 6th in her age group and qualified for the 70.3 Worlds.  She was also in the top 20 female swimmers of the day.  Gareth Chang went under 5 hours for the second time this year and Anna Wilcox, in her first 70.3 cracked 5:30 which was well under her target goal of 6 hours a  Well done team!

Bike Time Trial Results

Times were a bit slow on Saturday due to a wet road surface but we still saw PBs from Ciara Lui and Asha Hum.  Well done ladies.  Results are below and they will be posted on the website at the following link this week.  STG bike time trials are held every 4 weeks during the season, with the next one scheduled for 11 October.  These are fantastic short term goals to keep you focused on training in between races so make sure you include them as part of your training schedule throughout the season.

Sydney Running Festival this weekend

Good luck to everyone competing in the Sydney Running Festival this weekend.  Dave Adler is having a crack at the marathon and everyone else is tacking the half.

See you at training.
