Bike Time Trial Results

We had an excellent turn out for the third bike TT of the 14/15 season. Very light winds and a comfortable temperature meant conditions were conducive to fast times and the team didn’t disappoint.

Biggest PB of the day went to Steph L (3:24) followed closely by Marcello (boy in the bubble) M who set the 5th fastest time ever and Ciara L (3:09) . PB’s also to Nick M, Jaime H, Natalie P, Anna W, Asha H and Paulette M. Full results below:

Is time trial avoidance holding you back?

If you are a serial time trial avoider it may be holding you back from reaching your full potential. Time trials are a crucial part of your training program. They provide a fantastic short term goal to keep you focused on training and are an excellent feedback mechanism to see if the training you are doing is leading to fitness gains or alternatively seeing you stagnate. They also provide an excellent opportunity to experience a race like atmosphere in training and to learn how to push yourself into and cope better with the very uncomfortable race zone. Finally they are a belting training session!

So if you’re serious about improving, make time trials a regular event on your training calendar and you’ll reap the rewards.
